Unique Access Inside The Parks

Longstanding Relationships Provide Unique Access

90+ years within North America's national parks means our relationships and partnerships within the parks are longstanding and deep, providing us with exceptional access to people and places in the heart of the parks that you just can't get if traveling on your own. Learn more about the story of Tauck and Tauck's unique access by viewing Tauck: An American Story, narrated by Tauck travel partner, acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns.

Travel In Good Company –
Our Tauck Directors and Local Experts

You'll travel with our Tauck Directors (averaging 10 years of service) from the start of your national park trip to the end, skillfully managing all day-to-day details. Their friendliness, warmth and enthusiasm earn them the highest praise from our guests. Hailing from diverse backgrounds, they have a host of special interests and talents – they may be hikers, equestrians, canoeists, campers, teachers, writers, avid campers... and the true cornerstones of our national park journeys. They share their knowledge, passion and love of the parks sunrise to sundown; they know the best places to see and the best times of the day to explore, and use their experience to maximize yours, even in the unlikely event that plans go awry.

You'll also meet local experts who share their insights, knowledge and artistry with you. From natural history to man-made history, you'll get an insiders' look at the parks from those who know it best, including geologists, park rangers, wildlife photographers, cinematographers, artists, historians, wildlife experts, cowboys, and more.

And on most of our national park journeys, you'll gain special insights from "Stories by Ken Burns," custom-made film vignettes exclusively produced for Tauck by filmmakers Ken Burns and Dayton Duncan that take you behind-the-scenes of their award-winning film The National Parks: America's Best Idea. Ken and Dayton share new insights into the people and events that created and preserved America's national parks; these films add new meaning and appreciation to your Tauck journey.
