I am currently traveling on the Canadian Maritimes tour. I am a travel blogger. You can see details of our day-to-day activities at:

Three restaurants I highly recommend to dine on your own in Halifax:

--The Keg, directly across from the Prince George Hotel. Canadian chain. SUPERB beef. We loved it.
--Chives, a Canadian bistro featured farmhouse to table cuisine. Very fresh. Very tasty.
--The Bicycle Thief, very trendy spot down on the wharf featuring trendy Italian

Don't miss the Public Gardens near the hotel. There is only a "drive by" on the official tour.

Check out the Nova Scotian Crystal gallery on the wharf. Lovely.

Enjoy! We are loving it. We are blessed with gorgeous sunny weather.

We really enjoyed our trip. Gorgorgeous weather (86F degrees in Cape Breton at the end of September!). Charming travel director Allison Stoyles. Downside: too much time between lovely sites. Way too much time on the bus for a Type A personality.
